Yala to open for 01 Day ONLY for French Navy Group

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Yala National Park will be opened on 08th June 2021 only for a group of French Sailors visiting Sri Lanka, confirmed the Department of Wildlife.

According to diplomatic notes seen by News 1st, French Naval vessels FNS TONNERRE & FNS SURCOUF will be docking at the Colombo Harbour from 07th to 11th June 2021 with 750 French Naval Personnel & Officers.

The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be facilitating the visit by granting permission to the crew of both ships to visit limited sites under biosafety bubble protocol.

Sri Lanka Navy however said, no training exercises will take place between Sri Lankan Sailors and the French sailors.
